Funding for First Time Business Applications & a Second Grant Voucher Available to Irish Businesses Who Have Received Funding Previously

The Trading Online Voucher Scheme (TOV) First Time Applicants – up to €2,500 Grant Aid Available for Irish Businesses – April 2021. A second grant is also available for Irish businesses that have already availed of the LEO grant. As part of the Irish Government’s National Digital Strategy Grant aid is available to help grow your Irish based business online with help through the Government’s National Digital Strategy. The Trading Online Voucher Scheme is designed to assist Irish small businesses with up to 10 employees to trade more online, boost sales and reach new markets.

Participating in this scheme can make the process of trading online much easier for Irish businesses of all types.

How does it work?

The Trading Online Voucher offers financial assistance of up to €2,500 with co-funding of 50% from the business along with training and advice to help your business trade online. The grant will help Irish companies invest in improving their online sales through developing their own e-commerce website and online marketing. The Local Enterprise Office (AKA – LEO) is also offering free help and training provided by your local enterprise office in the delivery of this scheme puts you in a position to decide what is best for your business.

The training sessions cover various topics, including developing a website, digital marketing, social media for business and search engine optimisation. The information provided is impartial and will help you decide on what trading online options, are right for your business and industry sector. Also, Irish businesses that have already received a Trading Online Voucher can now apply for a second voucher, to help fund upgrades if required.

The funding can be used towards:

  • Adding online payment facilities or booking systems to your website
  • developing new apps for your customers.

The voucher can also be used towards subscriptions to low cost online retail platform solutions, to help Irish companies quickly establish a retailing presence online in 2021 And also towards a professionally developed e-commerce website. The funding is targeted at Irish SME businesses with the following profile:

  • Limited or no e-commerce presence
  • 10 or fewer employees
  • Turnover less than €2m
  • Applicant business must be trading for at least 6 months.

Business must be located in the region covered by the LEO office to whom they make their application i.e., LEO local offices cannot accept applications from businesses located outside their local jurisdiction. E.g., A Kildare based business must apply to the Kildare area LEO office and not any other county LEO office.

Previous Irish businesses that received a voucher grant already may now also apply for a second voucher.

Note – Previous voucher recipients cannot apply for a second voucher before they have submitted their final claim for their first voucher.
